Receipts

Receipts go by email. Paper is up to you.

OAK emails customers their order summary, receipt and signed waiver, so there's nothing to print and nothing to lose. If you'd still like to hand over paper, connect a Star Micronics receipt printer.

Can I use an iPad or iPhone I already have?
Yes. Download OAK from the App Store and sign in — there's no special tablet or terminal to buy from us.
Do I need a card reader?
Only to take cards in person. Online bookings are paid in your OAK online store, and you can key in a card for phone orders. For the counter, we recommend the Stripe Reader M2.
Where do I buy the Stripe Reader M2?
From Stripe, in your Stripe Dashboard under More → Terminal → Shop. It ships straight to you. See the set-up steps.
Which receipt printers work with OAK?
Star Micronics receipt printers. Tell us which one you're looking at and we'll confirm it works before you buy.
Does OAK sell hardware?
No. You buy your iPad or iPhone wherever you like, the card reader from Stripe, and a printer from any Star Micronics retailer. OAK's 2% covers the software, not a hardware bundle.
